- OT Pendants
An OT pendant brings medical gases, power and data down from the ceiling to exactly where the surgical team needs them. Instead of cables and hoses running across the floor, everything the anaesthetist and surgeon use is mounted on a ceiling-supported column that swings into position around the OT table. The result is a safer, cleaner and far more organised operating room.
Gaddiel supplies and installs OT pendants as part of our modular operation theatre projects and as standalone upgrades for existing OTs and ICUs. Here are a few from our recent installations.

Why hospitals choose OT pendants
- No trailing cables or hoses: gas and power lines stay off the floor, which reduces trip hazards and makes cleaning easier.
- Everything within reach: gas outlets, electrical sockets and equipment shelves are positioned right next to the patient.
- Flexible positioning: the pendant arm rotates so the column can be moved to suit each surgery and team.
- Better infection control: smooth, cleanable surfaces and fewer items on the floor support a sterile environment.
- A cleaner, more modern OT: equipment is organised on shelves instead of on carts and trolleys.
Types of OT pendants we install
Single-arm pendant
One rotating arm with a service column. Ideal for smaller OTs, minor OTs, procedure rooms and ICU bed spaces.
Double-arm pendant
Two arms give a wider reach and more positioning options. Common in major OTs where the column must move around the table.
Surgical and anaesthesia pendants
Configured for the surgeon’s side (power, data, shelves for electrosurgical and endoscopy units) or the anaesthetist’s side (medical gas outlets, power and shelves for the anaesthesia workstation and monitors).
ICU pendants
Bring gases, power and monitoring to each ICU bed, keeping the floor around the patient clear for staff and equipment.

What can be fitted on the pendant column
- Medical gas outlets: oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, vacuum and other gases as required
- Electrical sockets and data points
- Equipment shelves and drawers
- Infusion (IV) poles and accessory rails
- Monitor mounts
Every pendant is configured to your OT layout, your gas requirements and the equipment your team uses. It connects to your medical gas pipeline system, which we can also design and install.
Frequently asked questions
Can an OT pendant be installed in an existing operation theatre?
Yes. We check the ceiling structure, gas pipeline and electrical routing on site, and suggest the right mounting and pendant type for your room.
Single-arm or double-arm: which do I need?
It depends on the room size, the procedures you perform and how far the column needs to move. Our team will recommend the right option after reviewing your OT layout.
Do you also supply OT lights and modular OT panels?
Yes. Pendants are usually planned together with OT lights, laminar airflow, wall and ceiling panels and the medical gas pipeline, and we can deliver the complete modular OT.
